Cement removal from car paint

Paint Decontamination

Cement Removal

Construction site contamination, mortar splatter and cement deposits — safely removed without scratching your clear coat.

Why It's Urgent

Cement starts attacking your clear coat within hours. Speed matters.

Wet cement is highly alkaline — the same chemistry that binds bricks will start breaking down automotive clear coat lacquer within hours of contact. Splatter from a building site, mortar dropped by an overhead crew or concrete dust from a lorry can all cause serious paint damage if left untreated.

D83's approach uses purpose-formulated chemical removers applied with controlled dwell time — the cement is dissolved, not scraped or abraded. This is the only safe method that guarantees no additional scratch damage to the paint. Once removed, any micro-etching is addressed with machine polishing before protective sealant is applied.

The Process

Safe removal in five stages.

01

Assessment & Test Panel

Dean assesses the extent of cement contamination and tests a small area first to confirm the correct chemical approach for the specific paint type and cement age.

02

pH-Neutral Pre-Wash

A thorough pre-wash removes loose surface contamination and road grime before the specialist cement treatment begins — ensuring the chemical contacts the cement directly.

03

Chemical Cement Remover

A purpose-formulated acidic cement remover is carefully applied to affected areas. Dwell time is carefully controlled to dissolve the cement matrix without attacking the underlying clear coat.

04

Clay Bar Decontamination

After the chemical stage, a clay bar is used to remove any remaining bonded particles and silicates. This returns the surface to a properly smooth, contamination-free baseline.

05

Polish & Protection

Affected areas are machine polished to restore gloss and clarity where the cement has left micro-etching. A ceramic sealant or wax is applied to protect the recovered finish.
