Buckinghamshire · Specialist Service
Chiltern beech tannin, autumn leaf staining and Bucks woodland pollen — specialist convertible care across the county from £199.
The Chiltern Effect
The Chiltern Hills that run through the heart of Buckinghamshire are dominated by ancient beech woodland. In autumn, these trees release a heavy load of mast, leaf debris and, critically, beech tannin — a brown-black organic acid that stains light-coloured fabric hoods with a particular ferocity. Left over winter, beech tannin sets into the fabric permanently. White and cream hoods can end a single Buckinghamshire autumn season looking irreversibly brown across the top and rear surfaces.
The post-autumn treatment booking — late October to November — is D83's most popular seasonal slot in the Buckinghamshire and Chilterns area. Acting before winter means the tannin hasn't had time to set. A spring booking provides pre-season preparation after the birch and beech pollen season. Both together represent the ideal maintenance cycle for a Chilterns convertible owner.
