Specialist Interior Service
Anti-fungal deep treatment and permanent odour destruction — mould killed at the root, not bleached on the surface.
The Problem
Car mould is more common than most owners realise — and more serious. A single water ingress event, a wet umbrella left on a back seat or a blocked sunroof drain can create conditions for mould to establish within days. Once established, it spreads through headlining, carpet underlay and seat foam — areas that must be properly cleaned before any treatment can reach them.
This is why D83's mould removal service begins with a full interior deep clean — vacuuming, extraction and surface treatment — to physically remove the mould and the organic matter it feeds on. Only then is the Air V Dox chlorine dioxide treatment applied to kill any remaining spores, destroy airborne bacteria and permanently eliminate the musty odour compounds they produce. Skipping the clean and going straight to treatment is like painting over rust — it won't last.

The Process
01
Dean assesses the extent of mould growth — interior surfaces, seat bolsters, carpets, headlining and boot space — and identifies the moisture source where possible.
02
All loose mould spores are extracted using a HEPA-filtered vacuum before any wet treatment begins. This prevents spores spreading during cleaning.
03
A professional anti-fungal solution is applied to all affected surfaces. It penetrates fabric and porous materials, killing mould at the root rather than bleaching the surface appearance.
04
All treated surfaces are deep cleaned with specialist upholstery and hard surface products. Steam is used where appropriate to sanitise without oversaturating fabrics.
05
Chlorine dioxide treatment is used to permanently destroy airborne mould spores, bacteria and the musty odour compounds they produce — leaving the cabin genuinely clean.
06
Moisture absorbers are placed inside the vehicle to draw out residual dampness without the risk of condensation or damp re-establishing. A fabric protector is applied to treated surfaces to reduce future moisture absorption and the likelihood of mould re-growth.
